Visitor application and features

Let yourself be guided through the collections by La Boussole, a free visitor application, accessible from your smartphone without downloading. 

Along the way, discover the museum's features, learn how a sextant works, carry out a sea rescue, play tennis on the deck of an ocean liner or fly a plane from an aircraft carrier?

You'll be able to enjoy a whole range of new experiences thanks to the free facilities available all along the route!

Business centre

The business centre, comprising a 200-seat foyer/auditorium and 6 seminar rooms, is dedicated to hosting corporate events. A choice setting with a view of the Eiffel Tower, it is fully equipped to ensure an optimal experience and can be adapted to suit all types of events.

Services

  • Toilets and baby-changing tables

    The museum has toilets and baby-changing tables in the reception area. Toilets are also available throughout the visitor route.

  • Equipment loan

    For your comfort, we offer free loan of baby carriers, pushchairs, cane seats and wheelchairs, as well as noise-cancelling headsets, sunglasses and hearing loop devices (BIM).

    Please ask our reception staff.

    Loans are made in exchange for a form of ID.

  • Lockers, cloakroom

    Lockers with codes are available in the reception area, where you can store your personal belongings.

  • Baby area

    A quiet space is available for parents in the reception area to look after their baby. It is equipped with a nursing chair.

  • Lifts

    Thanks to the lifts, the whole museum is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility and to pushchairs.

  • Induction loop

    For hearing-impaired visitors, our reception/ticket desks are fitted with induction loops.

  • Visitor map

    The museum map is available free of charge at reception. Highlights, family trail... follow the flags and let yourself be guided!

  • Visitor aids

    Let yourself be guided through the collections by La Boussole, a free visitor application, accessible from your smartphone without downloading. 

    Borrow the “sailor's bag” from reception for families with children aged 3 to 5, suitable for children with autism spectrum disorders, or the Easy-to-read booklet (FALC). ( only available in french )

    265 spaces, including 3 reserved for visitors with reduced mobility.

  • Lost property

    If you have lost something, please contact our reception staff on site.

  • Phone power banks

    If your phone battery runs out, we have power banks available for you.

    Available on a self-service basis in the museum's entrance hall.
