Groups
Yes, cloakrooms are available for groups. As capacity is limited, we recommend bringing as few belongings as possible.
To help us prepare for your visit as well as possible, please contact the museum's booking department by emailing groupes@musee-marine.fr or calling 01 53 64 69 48.
The museum does not have a free dining area, but there are outdoor spots nearby for a picnic (the Trocadéro gardens).
Groups are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the visit.
In the event of a delay of more than 20 minutes, the museum reserves the right not to provide the tour, or to shorten it so that the end time remains unchanged.
A ticket is required (a single ticket per group). You are also asked to check in at the ticket desk 15 minutes before your visit begins, to confirm your arrival, even for a self-guided visit.
Only public-law organisations may pay after the visit.
Booking is compulsory and must be made at least 3 weeks before the visit date; payment must be confirmed at least 2 weeks before the visit date.
A group must include at least 7 people and can include up to 20, including supervisors.
Individuals
Allow around 1.5 hours on average to visit the whole museum.
Pushchairs are allowed if they are not too bulky. If yours is, pushchairs or baby carriers are available to borrow. Please note that scooters (for adults or children) are not allowed — you will not be able to enter the building with one.
Crutches are allowed, as are walking sticks fitted with a rubber tip. Wheelchairs are available to borrow.
As part of the Vigipirate security plan, suitcases are not allowed; backpacks and other items can be left at the cloakroom at reception (coded lockers).
Yes, the museum entry ticket includes both the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions.
Printing is not compulsory. However, you must be able to show your ticket (not the purchase confirmation) either on your mobile or on paper. The ticket must have a QR code or barcode.

Online, you can only pay by credit card (except AMEX). At the ticket desk you can pay in cash, by credit card (except AMEX), cheque, “chèque culture” vouchers, or “chèque vacances” ANCV vouchers (paper only).
Please check your spam/junk folder. If you can't find anything, you can contact the museum team at contact(@)musee-marine.fr. Please include the name and first name used for the purchase, as well as the date, time and number of tickets bought, along with the amount paid if possible.
Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged,, regardless of the purchase channel.
When booking online, remember to enter your promo code in the small box on the right of your screen. The promo code cannot be added to the basket at the end of the order — it must be entered before choosing your rate.
Booking online is strongly recommended. Buying your ticket online guarantees you can enter at the time stated on your ticket. However, you can also buy your ticket at the ticket desk without booking in advance, though you should expect to wait if it's busy.
Busy periods are weekends from 11am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm, as well as school holidays. For a quieter visit, we recommend coming on a Monday.

Yes, the museum offers a membership programme, which you can join online, at the ticket desk or by phone. Alone, as a couple or as a family, take the helm, get involved and enjoy a wealth of benefits.
There is no car park reserved for the museum, but several public car parks are available nearby:
The Kléber-Longchamp car park, at 67 avenue Kléber; and the Quai Branly-Tour Eiffel car park, at 25 Quai Branly.

Headsets and audio guides can be borrowed at reception (a form of ID must be left as a deposit; rental cost: €2). Routes are available in several languages (French, English, Spanish, German) and in adapted formats for all (easy-to-read, audio description, French Sign Language).
Yes, the shop is accessible during the museum's opening hours.
Yes, there is a restaurant upstairs, at the museum entrance. You can reach it by stairs or by lift.
No, each museum requires its own ticket check. There is no combined ticket covering both sites.
Yes, one exit is allowed. You will need to go back through the entrance check. The second entry must take place on the same day.
Your ticket is valid for 1 hour after the start of the time slot purchased, and some flexibility may be allowed over the course of the day. However, in the event of high visitor numbers, priority will be given to visitors with a ticket for the correct time slot.
Yes, the whole museum is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. Please don't hesitate to let reception staff know if you need any particular assistance.
Only guide dogs for blind or visually impaired people are allowed.
