- Computer index (search by author, title or subject for works acquired after 1980)
- List of documentary files.
- Periodicals index
- Thematic bibliographies

The reading room is open to the public by appointment on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. It is closed during the Christmas and Easter school holidays and in August.

All documents can be consulted in the reading room, with 1,500 on open access. The reading room is entered via the Conservation door at the far end of the building, through the Trocadéro gardens.

A photocopier is available for reproducing books, periodicals and documentary files, unless they are too fragile. Users are required to respect intellectual property rights.
