Toulon

Since 1814, the musée national de la Marine in Toulon has stood in the entrance to the arsenal, next to the Clock Tower.

Its collection retraces the history of the port, conditions onboard convict ships, the daily life of sailors on their ships, and maritime expeditions to the Far East.

Hightlights include two large models of eighteenth-century vessels, the control panel of the Clemenceau aircraft carrier.
